Eagle Forestry

Timber Procurement + Forestry Operations

About Eagle Forestry

Eagle Forestry is the forestry and timber procurement arm supporting Eagle Lumber’s sawmill operations. Formerly known as Blue Ridge Land & Timber, the company now operates under the Eagle Lumber name to reflect a unified, vertically integrated supply chain.

With sawmill production exceeding 15 million board feet annually, responsible timber sourcing and inventory management are essential. Eagle Lumber Forestry focuses on purchasing standing timber, managing logging operations, and procuring gate logs to ensure consistent supply and long-term sustainability.

Forestry Timber & Procurement

Our forestry operations are led by two full-time foresters, Doug Aaron and Weldon Stauffer, who oversee timber buying, land management, and logging coordination. Gate log purchasing also plays a key role in maintaining steady inventory levels.

Shane Zimmerman, Log Procurement Manager, inspects, measures, and scales logs to ensure quality and accuracy throughout the supply chain.

We currently maintain approximately 2 million board feet of logs in inventory, with a proactive approach to keeping stock levels high enough to support both sawmill production and pallet manufacturing demands.

Eagle Lumber Forestry is committed to responsible harvesting, long-term resource management, and providing the dependable raw material supply that keeps Eagle Lumber running efficiently.
